A germán és újlatin nyelvek laringális kölcsönhatása [L'interaction laryngale des langues germaniques et latines]
Abstract
The paper discusses laryngeal oppositions among Germanic languages and discusses whether systems based on [voice] rather [aspiration] could be attributed to language contact with Romance languages. The emergence of [voice] systems (Yiddish and Dutch for its stops) cannot be unequivocally assigned to such language contacts.
